Didi is currently a student in their final year completing a Bachelor of Arts in Film and Media Production at the University of Cape Town. Their passion is in communicating narratives through the visual mediums of film photography and documentary filmmaking. Didi hopes to tell stories of queer and black communities by taking intimate peeks into their lives and stamping them into a sacred public memory.
The Ashes Left Behind

This short documentary highlights the trauma and experiences of members of the University of Cape Town’s community after the devastating fires in April 2021. The story follows student, Siya Ntuntwana and lecturer, Johanna von Holdt’s events of the fire and what they had to grapple with during the time.

Didi’s roles in the film include directing, cinematography and editing.
